RAN sa zaoberá architektúrou. Každé zadanie vníma ako jedinečnú kombináciu miesta a potrieb klienta. Výsledná architektúra nevzniká aplikovaním vopred daného prístupu, ale hľadaním riešenia, ktoré najlepšie odpovedá na konkrétnu situáciu.
